You could say that Jeff Consoletti is a veteran entrepreneur. Jeff, as the principle owner and producer, founded JJLA more than 7 years ago in an attempt to revamp the live event production and entertainment space.

In today's age of Internet entrepreneurs who flame out in a blaze of (less than) glory, it's refreshing to have a client like Jeff. While JJLA more than "disrupts" the live entertainment space, the production and entertainment consultancy has become a stable and stalwart company in the face of an evolving Los Angeles entertainment market.

Today, JJLA now services clients in entertainment, consumer products, sports, and the non-profit sector. In fact, Jeff's work has been featured in such publications as The LA Times, LA Weekly, The Huffington Post, TMZ, and more.

The Genesis of JJLA

The story of the live entertainment consultancy JJLA starts with Jeff Consoletti himself. Prior to starting JJLA, Jeff started his career in creative advertising as an "addy." Almost as if he was training for his future, Jeff used his naturally creative eye to deliver unique consumer experiences on behalf of his advertising clients.

These live advertising initiatives allowed Jeff to experiment with different ways to impact consumers and other users. For example, he used this time to design innovative and interactive trade show booths, pop-up shops, and other promotions for clients such as NBC Universal, CBS Paramount Television, Sprint, Mattel, as well as many others.

However, as any entrepreneur will tell you, even rewarding work is tough when you're working for someone else. This made Jeff embark on his own journey in 2009 to create a live entertainment consulting business that would take his innovative findings to change the way companies approached their live events.

You might expect that Jeff and JJLA would've started small. Not so. Within a matter of minutes (by business standards), JJLA went from the brand new live entertainment consultancy on the block to working on projects at SXSW, the Super Bowl, Coachella, the Final 4, and other similar events.

The Current (and Future) of JJLA

Currently, JJLA offers three major services:

  • Event Management
  • Production Oversight
  • Creative Execution

These services help JJLA's clients with budget management, operational and logistical execution, crowd management, artist relations, venue booking, technical direction, artist relations, guest experience design, and brand partnerships. I could go on but I think you get the idea. Anything you need to run a live event smoothly, JJLA can provide.

But JJLA isn't just stopping there. The company is now an integral part of the Los Angeles live event scene, and has been credited with adding to the national success of such things as the LA PRIDE Festival. If you were out celebrating during the LA PRIDE parade and its surrounding events, you have Jeff and JJLA to thank.

This is only a sign of things to come for JJLA. For example, Jeff is now a festival producer or director of both the LA PRIDE music festival & parade as well as EpicFest. He's also a producer for PrimeSport Corporate Hospitality Village at The Rose Bowl and Grenade Games 7 & 8.

We at Xcelerate expect JJLA to only become more and more influential in the live event space.

How Xcelerate Helps JJLA

JJLA is a hands-on business. Jeff uses his skills to add creative leadership and management to his clients, which means he's often on-site for these events and experiences. While this is important for the company's continued success, JJLA needed an organization to help manage the business from a finance and operations perspective.

For example, with businesses that work with a lot of vendors and partners, cash flow management is paramount. It's important to understand not only where the money is flowing in and out of, but that invoices are paid and received on time. This helps minimize both drags as well as pulls on liquidity.

Enter Xcelerate Financial. With CFO-level business insights and dedicated accounting management, we're able to help manage Jeff's business so he can do what he does best - create the best live experiences possible.
